Amendments in Exemption Notification No. : 06/2002-CE, DT. 01/03/2002 (1703, 35040091)

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 6/2002-Central Excise, dated the 1st March, 2002, which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R. 127(E), dated the 1st March, 2002, namely:-
In the said notification,-
(A) in the Table,-
(i) against S.No. 81, the entries in columns (2) to (6) shall be omitted;
(ii) against S.No. 82, the entries in columns (2) to (6) shall be omitted;
(iii) after S.No. 304 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

If, before clearance of goods, the manufacturer produces a certificate from an officer, not below the rank of Director in the Marine Products Export Development Authority, in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, to the effect that the goods procured constitute monofilament long line system for tuna fishing and are intended to be used for tuna fishing.''; |
