Amendments in EXIM Policy
Notification No. 39 dated 6th
December 1999
In
exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development
and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export
and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.99), the
Central Government hereby makes following amendment made upto 31.3.99)
The
following should be added in the entry at ITC (HS) Code No.5202 in ITC (HS)
Classification of Export and Import items, 1997-2002, (Incorporating amendments
made upto 31st August, 1998):
"However,
EOU/ EPZ units will not require any such registration and these units shall
inform the office of Textile Commissioner of the quantity of cotton waste
exported each quarter".
This issues in public interest.
