Amendments in Exim Policy
Notification No. 42 dated 5th
March 1999
In
exercise of the powers conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade
(Development & Regulations) Act, 1992
(No. 22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy,
1997-2002, as amended, the Central Government hereby makes the following
amendment in the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002.
2. In Chapter 16, Part III, Paragraph 16.3 �
Canalised items of EXIM Policy, 1997-2002 as amended, the entry at SL. No.6
shall be amended as follows: -

(NAFED) for 10,000 MTs per month for three months (till May
1999)

An
Agency to be designated by the Government of Maharashtra or by
Associate Shippers registered with the designated agency for 25,000MT
Per month for three months (till May 1999).

An
Agency to be designated by Gujarat Government or by Associate Shippers
registered with the designated
agency for 15000 MTs per month for three months (till May 1999).

3. In ITC (HS) Classification of Export and
Import items (1997-2002, incorporating amendments made upto 31st
August 1998) at Schedule 2 table B, the entry against ITC code no. 0703 shall be
amended as under:
