Amendments in ITC (HS) Classification of Exim Items
Notification
No. 17th dated 1st September 1997
In
exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development
and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.1 of Export and
Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby notifies the following
amendment in the "ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items
1997-2002, published on 31st March, 1997 and as amended from time to time.
1. The following remarks shall be added against
the Heading Description of Exim Code 17.01 in Chapter 17 of the ITC (HS)
Classification of Export and Import items, 1997-2002.
"However, all sugar import contracts shall be compulsorily
registered with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development
Authority (APEDA)".
