Amendments in "ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import
Items"

No. 12 dated 4th July 1998
In
exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 5 of the Foreign Trade
(Development & regulation) Act, 1992
(No. 22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy
1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the
Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002 (Amended
in April, 1998).
In
Chapter 16, Part I, Paragraph 16.1, the entry at Sl. No. 1 shall be amended to
read as under:
�All forms of wild animals including their parts and products except
Peacock Tail Feathers including handicrafts made thereof subject to conditions
as specified in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled "ITC (HS)
classifications of Export and Import Items"
Consequently
the export of Manufactured Articles and Shavings of Shed Antlers of Chital and
Sambhar shall be prohibited with immediate effect.
This issues in public
interest.
