Amendments in the Customs Notification No. : 21/2002 DATE 01/03/2002 ( Exemption Notification)

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 21/2002-Customs, dated the 1st March, 2002 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide number G.S.R.118 (E), dated the 1st March, 2002, namely:-
In the said notification,-
(A) in the Table,-
(i) for S.No. 75E and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely: -

If at the time of importation, the importer produces a certificate from an officer, not below the rank of Director in the Marine Products Export Development Authority, in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, to the effect that that the imported goods constitute monofilament long line system for tuna fishing and are intended to be used for tuna fishing.'' ; |
(ii) after the Conditions,-
(a) in List 26, in item (17), sub-item (vi) shall be omitted;
(b) in List 26A, after item (4), the following shall be inserted, namely:-
�(5) Degaussing coil �.
