Amendments in the export policy for export of fish hide and skins
Public Notice No. 54 dated 5th December 2001
In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), and as amended from time to time, the following amendments may be made in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998) and as amended from time to time:-
2. The entries against Code Nos. 4101, 4102 and 4103 under the column 4 i.e. �Nature of restriction� in the Table B of the Schedule 2 relating to export of �Hides and Skin namely� in so far as it pertains to item (ii) in Column 2 of the aforesaid Code numbers i.e. pertaining to �Fish Hides and Skins�, is amended to read as under: -
�The exporters shall be required to register the export contracts indicating the price, quantity etc. with the Council for the Leather Exports/ or MPEDA in case of item no. (ii) i.e. Fish Hides and Skins.�
