NOTIFICATION No.18/ 2006-Customs

G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act,1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 69/2004-Customs, dated the 9th July, 2004, G.S.R.411(E), dated the 9th July, 2004 namely :-

1. In the said notification, in the TABLE,-
   1. at serial number1, in column (2),-
      1. for the entry “8523 52 00”, the entry “8523 52”,shall be substituted;
      2. after the entry “8543 59 10”, the entry “8543 70 11”, shall be added;
   2. at serial number 11A, the words and figures “or 8517” shall be omitted;
   3. at serial number 11C, in column (2),-
      1. for the entry, “8443 99 00”, the entry, “8443 99”shall shall be substituted;
      2. for the entry, “8443 32 00”,the entry, “8443 32” shall be substituted;
   4. after serial number 11E and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely:-
      
      

      11F	All goods falling under tariff item 8443 31 00 or subheading 8443 32;

   5. after serial number 12 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted, namely:-
      

      12A	Parts and accessories (heading 8529) of goods falling under 8528 41 00, 8528 51 00 or 8528 61 00;

   6. at serial number 30, for the words and figures “subheading 8529 10”, the words and figures “tariff item 8517 70 90”, shall be substituted;
   7. for serial number 44, and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-
      

      44.	Electric Conductors of a voltage not exceeding 1000 V, fitted with connectors, of a kind used for telecommunications, falling under sub-heading 8544 42;

   8. Serial numbers 45 and 46 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted;.
2. This notification shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
