G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act,1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.78/2006-Customs, dated the 8th August, 2006 namely:-

In the said notification, in the TABLE,:-

(i) against S.No.11, for the entry in column (3), the entry ‘All goods other than essential oils of geranium, jasmin, lavander or lavandin and vetiver’ shall be substituted;

(ii) against S.No.19, for the entry in column (2), the entry ‘3808 91 91’ shall be substituted;

(iii) against S.No.23, for the entry in column (2), the entry ‘3006 10 or 39 21 19 00’ shall be substituted;

(iv) against S.No. 26, for the entry in column (2), the entry ‘3006 10 or 39 26 90 99’ shall be substituted;

(v) against S.No. 33, the figures ‘5402 42 00’ occurring in column (2), shall be omitted;

(vi) after S.No. 33 and the entries relating thereto, the following S.No. and entries shall be inserted, namely :-

(vii) after S.No. 30, for the entry in column (2), the entry ‘ 4411 12 00, 4411 13 00, 4411 14 00’ shall be substituted;

(viii) against S.No. 31, for the entry in column (3), the entry ‘Writing paper, printing paper other than carbonizing base paper’ shall be substituted;

(ix) against S.No. 34, for the entry in column (2), the entry ‘5607 90 90’ shall be substituted;

(x) against S.No. 46, for the entry in column (3), the entry ‘Knitted wire other than endless bands for machinery’ shall be substituted;

(xi) against S.No. 50, for the entry in column (3), the entry ‘All goods other than cooking or heating apparatus of a kind used for domestic purposes, non-electric, and parts thereof, of copper’ shall be substituted;

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from 1^st day of January, 2007.
