Amendments to ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items
Notification
No. 4 dated 15th May 2002
In
exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development
and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Export and Import
Policy, 2002-2007, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments
in the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2002-2007 published
on 31st March, 2002 as amended from time to time, namely - at the end
of Chapter-85 of the said ITC (HS) Classification of Export & Import items,
2002-2007, the following import licensing note shall be inserted as follows:-
�Import licensing notes:

In respect of only the items covered under the erstwhile Code 852520 09
in the previous ITC (HS) Classification 1997-2002 viz. �Other radio
communication equipment including VHF, UHF and microwave communication
equipment�, the Condition relating to the Policy would (continue to) read as
follows-�Not permitted to be imported except against a licence to be issued by
the WPC Wing of Ministry of Communication�.
This
issues in public interest.
