NOTIFICATION NO. 115 (RE-2009)/2004-2009
NEW DELHI, THE 3rd July, 2009
S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2)
of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and
also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the
Central Government hereby makes, with immediate effect, following amendments to
Notification No.33(RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 8th October, 2007 as amended from
time to time.
2. Following shall be added at the end of Para 2 of the
Notification No. 33
(RE-2007)/2004-09 dated 8.10.2007:-
“2.7 Ban on export of wheat shall not be applicable to export of wheat as
following:-

1.Export of wheat shall be limited to 3,00,000 MTs each through MMTC Ltd., PEC

Sub-heading Note: The term “durum wheat” means wheat of the Triticum durum
species and the Hybrids derived from the inter – specific crossing of Triticum
durum which have the same number (28) of chromosomes as that species.
3. The quantity of wheat to be exported shall be monitored on a fortnightly
basis both by the Customs Department as well as by DGCI&S, through fortnightly
reports to be sent to the Department of Commerce / DGFT as well as to the
Department of Food & Public Distribution
4. All other provisions of the
Notification No.33 (RE-2007)/2004-09 dated 8th
October, 2007 shall remain unchanged, and shall continue to apply.
5. This issues in public interest.
