G.S.R. (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 6/2006-Central Excise, dated the 1^st March, 2006 which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 96(E), dated the 1^st March, 2006, namely:-

In the said notification,-

(1) in the table, against serial number (S.No.) 90, for the entry in column (3) relating to ‘Description of Goods’, the following entry shall be substituted, namely:-

“All items of equipment including machinery and rolling stock, procured by or on behalf of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. for use in-

(i) Delhi MRTS Project Phase-I; and

(ii) Specified corridors of Delhi MRTS Project Phase-II, comprising of the following:-

(a) Vishwavidyalaya- Jahangirpuri;

(b) Central Secretariat-Qutab Minar (via All India Institute of Medical Sciences);

(c) Shahdara- Dilshad Garden;

(d) Indraprastha-New Ashok Nagar;

(e) Yamuna Bank-Anand Vihar-Inter State Bus Terminus; and

(f) Kirti Nagar-Mundka (along with operational Link to Shahdara- Rithala corridor).”.

(2) in the Annexure, in sub para (i) of condition 18, for the words “Delhi MRTS Project”, the words “Delhi MRTS Project Phase-I and specified corridors of Delhi MRTS Project Phase-II” shall be substituted.
