Correction in the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items
Notification
No. 4 dated 6th May 1997
In
exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development
and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.1 of Export and
Import Policy, 1997 - 2002, the Central Government hereby notifies the following
corrections in the "ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items
1997-2002", namely:
(a) The following sentence shall be added
against the heading description of Exim Code 85.36.
"Goods
in this heading which are not capable of being directly used as consumer goods
on their own are freely importable:
(b) The items description against Exim Code
94060009.10 in Column 2 shall be amended to read as under:
"Prefabricated housing material."
Since the above were inadvertent omissions, the above changes shall be
operative from 1.4.1997.
