Credit Rate entitlement under DEPB Scheme
Public Notice No. 5 dated 8th April 1997
Attention is invited to para 7.25 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997- 2002 which provides that under the Duty Entitlement Passbook Scheme, an exporter shall be eligible to claim credit as specified percentage of FOB value of exports made in freely convertible currency. It further provides that the credit shall be available against such export product and at such rate as may be specified by the Director General of Foreign Trade by a Public Notice Issued in this behalf.
Accordingly, in exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997 -2002. the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies: the credit rate under DEPB scheme in respect of items as given in Annexure to this Public Notice which shall form Appendix -28A of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1).
