EOUs/ EPZ Units - Relaxation in furnishing Bank Guarantee for transfer of
imported goods

It has been brought to the
notice of the Board that that contents of circular No. 29/95 dated 20.3.95
issued F.No. 473/ 6/ 95-LC by which relaxation in furnishing Bank Guarantee by
the 100% EOU/ EPZ units for transfer of imported goods for re-warehousing from
major ports to inland warehousing stations as has been given by the Board has
not been given wide publicity. As a result public in general, trade and industry
in particular are not informed, thereby causing unnecessary hardship and
complaints.
2. Under the
circumstances, I am directed to say that wide publicity by way of issue of
Public Notice may be given to the said circular of the Board.
