 G.S.R.       (E).-In  exercise  of  the  powers  conferred  by  sub-section  (1)  of  section  25  of  the

Customs  Act,  1962  (52  of  1962),  the  Central  Government,  on  being  satisfied  that  it  is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts all goods falling under sub-heading

8517 12 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), as specified in column (2) of the Table

in  the  Seventh  Schedule  to  the  Finance  Act,  2001  (14  of  2001),  as  amended  from  time  to time, when imported into India, from the whole of the National Calamity Contingent duty of Customs leviable thereon under section 134 of the Finance Act, 2003 (32 of 2003).
