Export of Onion
Notification No. 45 dated 4th
December 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of
the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read
with Paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002
(incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.2000), the Central Government hereby
makes the following amendments in the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and
Import items, 1997-2002 published on 31st March, 1997 (RE-98) as amended from
time to time:
(i)
In entry at ITC (HS) Code No. 0703 (1) of Schedule-2, Table B relating to
export of Onions (All varieties other than Bangalore rose Onions and
Krishnapuram Rose Onions), the last date for shipment of 1.5 Lakh M. Tonnes of
Onions released vide Notification No. 31 (Re-2000)/ 1997-2002 dated 24th August,
2000 and Notification No. 35 (RE-2000)/ 1997-2002 dated 25th Sept., 2000 is
extended from 30.11.2000 to "15th December, 2000."
(ii)
In the entry at ITC (HS) Code No. 0703 (2) ofSchedule-2, Table B relating
to export of Bangalore Rose Onions and Krishnapuram Onions, introduced vide
Notification No. 21(RE-2000)/ 1997-2002 dated 26.6.2000, service charges to be
collected by KAPPEC and AP-MARKFED as mentioned in sub para (v) therein is
revised from Rs.20/ MT to "3.5% ad valorem".
(iii)
Para (vi) of the said Notification shall stand deleted.
