Notification No. 30 dated 7th

In exercise of the
powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development &
Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the
Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, (incorporating amendments made upto
31.3.2000), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the
ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import items, 1997-2002 published on 31st
March, 1997- (RE-98) as amended from time to time.
In entry at ITC (HS)
Code No.0703 (1) of Schedule-2, Table-S relating to export of onions (All
varieties other than Bangalore rose onions and Krishnapuram Rose Onions), the
last date of shipment mentioned in paragraph (iv) of Notification No.11
(RE-2000)/ 1997- 2002 dated 26th April, 2000 and in paragraph (iii) of
Notification No. 16(RE-2000)/ 1997-2002 dated the 17th May, 2000 read with
Notification No. 17(RE-2000/ 1997-2002 dated 26.5.2000 and Notification No.22
(RE-2000)/ 1997-2002 dated 03.7.2000 shall be amended to read as
"31.8.2000".
This issues in Public Interest.
