Export of sands and soils
Policy Circular No. 56 dated 11th December 1998
Attention is invited to the Ministry of Commerce Notification No.31 dated 12.11.1998-imposing ban on export of sands and soils.
2. A number of representations have been received seeking clarification regarding export of minerals, mineral products including abrasive garnets, garnet sands and natural garnets.
3. It is clarified that natural garnets, natural abrasives, garnet sands, other minerals and mineral products are not within the purview of the aforesaid Notification No.31 dated 12.11.1998 and are freely exportable.
