Sub: Export of Stone Aggregate and River Sand to Maldives for the year
2009-2010.
S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 and section 3(2) of the
Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and
paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy – 2004-09, as amended from time to
time, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule – 2 (Export Policy) of the
ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as follows:-
- In Chapter 25, the following shall be added after export licensing Note (e)
regarding export to Maldives :-
(f) For the financial year 2009–10 (on annual basis)
Stone Aggregate : 1,026,550 MTs
River Sand : 1,077, 686 MTs
- For the export of above quantity of River Sand, Chemicals and Allied Products
Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) shall ensure that the suppliers/extractors
have obtained appropriate clearances and the mining of the said sand is not
undertaken in the Coastal Regulation Zone Area, which is prohibited under the
Coastal Regulation Zone Notification.
