Extend period of six months for condition Sl. No. 16 at Chapter I A (General Notes to Import Policy)

In exercise of powers conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09 as under :
1. The condition stipulated at Sl. No. 16 of Chapter I A (General Notes to Import Policy) to Schedule-I of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 2004-2009 shall remain in force for a further period of six months from the date of publication of this notification or till such time it is modified or withdrawn, whichever is earlier.
This issues in Public Interest.
