Subject: Fixation of Standard Input Output Norms (SION) of Food Products
(Product Code: ‘E’) in the Handbook of Procedures V.2 (2009-14)
In exercise of the powers conferred under Para 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy,
2009-14, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the addition of two
new entries at Serial Numbers E-129 and E-129 A in the Handbook of Procedures
V.2 (2009-14) as detailed below:

*Note:-1 Import of artificial sweetening agents viz. Lactose/ Mannitol, as
substitute inputs is not allowed against Item No. 1, as is also spelt out in
Policy Circular No.13 dated 31.01.2011.
**Note 2. Cumulative quantity of relevant food additives should be limited to
100 gms/kg in addition to individual quantity limit.
3. Effect of the Public Notice:
This notifies the SION for export product Instant Fruit Juice Powder /Crystals
(both with sugar and sugar free). These are two new entries.
