Foreign Currency Account Abroad – FEMA 47/01 Effective from Gazette Publication Date

In the 9433">Notification No. FEMA 47/2001-RB dated 5th December, 2001 of the Reserve Bank of India, Exchange Control Department, Central Office, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide G.S.R. 5(E) dated 5th December, 2001.
(i) In Regulation 1, in clause (ii), for the words �They shall come into force with immediate effect�, the words �They shall come into force from the date of publication in the Gazette�, shall be substituted and read.
(ii) At the end of the Notification, the following shall be added :
�Foot-note : The Principal Regulations were published in the Official Gazette vide No. G.S.R. 393(E) dated 03-05-2000 in Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) and subsequently last amended vide No. G.S.R. 200(E) dated 27th February, 2001.�
