HB Vol.1 Amended - Appendix 41
Public Notice No. 42 dated 21st September 1998
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II- Section 3 - Sub- section (ii) vide S.O No. 283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE-98), 1997-2002:
1. The rates notified below will form part of Appendix 28A and shall cover the exports made on or after the date of this Public Notice.

2. The description of export product at S.No. 59-textile product as given in Annexure to Public Notice No.6 (RE-98) shall be amended to read as "Cotton fabric dyed and/ or bleached".
3. The description of export product at S.No. 69 & 72 of textile product as given in Annexure to Public Notice No.6 (RE-98) shall be amended to read as under:
69 Processed cotton madeup other than grey namely bed spread/ bed cover/ pillow cases/ pillow cover/ mattress cover/ quilt cover including with embroidery/ metallic yarn.
72 All Processed cotton madeup including quilted cotton madeup with or without embroidery/ metallic yarn other than grey and not covered under S. No. 69.
4. The description of export product at S.No.47 (c) of textile product as given in Annexure to Public Notice No. 6 (RE-98) shall be amended to read as "Madeup made out of one or more manmade filament yarn with or without metallised yarn".
5. The description of export product at S.No. 44 (a) & (b) of textile product as given in Annexure to Public Notice No. 6 (RE-98) shall be amended to read as under:
a) Dyed and/ or manmade cotton blended fabric 'with or without embroidery' and/ or 'with or without metallised yarn' (Manmade not less than 50%)
b) Dyed and/ or printed manmade - Cotton blended fabric 'with or without embroidery' and/ or 'with or without metallised yarn' (Manmade content less than 50% by weight).
6. The DEPB rate as given in S.No. 12 of the food product as given in Public Notice No. 16 (RE-98) shall be amended to read as 17%.
