Public Notice No. 57 dated 10th December 1998
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II-Section 3 - Sub-section (ii) vide S.O. No. 283(E) dated 31.3.1997, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1) (RE-98), 1997-2002:
The existing sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph 5.3(a) may be substituted by the following paragraph:
"Any form of metallic waste, scrap, and seconds and defectives other than those which are of a value below the value specified for any such item by a notification issued in this behalf, and excluding hazardous, toxic waste, radio active contaminated waste/ scrap containing radio active material;"
This issues in public interest.
