HB Vol.1 - Appendix 28A - DEPB rate list
Public Notice No. 62 dated 24th December 1998
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II- Section 3 - Sub- section (ii) vide S.O No. 283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE-98), 1997-2002.
1. The rate notified in column 3 shall cover the shipments made from 1.4.97 to 14.4.98. The rate notified in column 5 will form part of Appendix 28A and shall cover the exports made from 15.4.98.

2. Consequent upon deletion of DEPB rate for refills covered under S.No. 1 of product group plastic by Public Notice No. 61 dated 31.12.97 and re-introduction of separate DEPB rate for all kinds of parts components by Public Notice No. 6(RE-98) dated 15.4.98, the DEPB rate for refills in respect of export made between 1.1.98 to 14.4.98 shall be 13% of the FOB value.
3. The description of export product in S.No. 50 of Electronics products as given in Appendix 28A shall be corrected to read as "Coil, transformer, inductors".
4. The description of export product in S.No. 66 of Electronics products as given in Appendix 28A shall be corrected to read as "(I) Electronic valves and tubes including Cathode Ray Tubes, TV picture tubes and monitor tubes (ii) Vacuum Interrupter Tubes and (iii) Gas Discharge tube".
5. The description of export product in S.No.316 of Engineering products as given in Appendix 28A shall be corrected to read as "Light commercial vehicle (LCV) of GVW 7.5 MT.
6. The description of export product in S.No. 483 of Engineering products as given in Appendix 28A shall be corrected to read as "Industrial roller/ Motor cycle/ Automotive Timing chain".
7. The description of export product in S.No. 252 of Engineering products as given in Appendix 28A shall be corrected to read as "Ball/ Roller/ Thrust/ Clutch Release/ Spherical Plain Bearing".
8. The description of export product in S.No. 733 of Chemicals products as given in Appendix 28A shall be corrected to read as "Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide".
