Instructions Regarding General Permission for Release of Imported
Currency Through Post

am directed to refer to Board�s Circular No. 23/ 2002 - Cus., dated 26.4.2002
on the above mentioned subject. It has been noticed that a more detailed
Circular No. (16/2002-Cus., dated 5.3.2002) covering all aspects of import of
currency through post has been issued by the Board. With the result the Circular
No. 23/ 2002-Cus., dated 26.4.2002 issued on the same matter has become
superfluous.

In view of above, Board�s Circular No. 23/ 2002-Cus., dated 26.4.2002
is hereby rescinded.
3.
These instructions may be brought to the notice of all concerned by way
of issue Public Notices/ Standing Orders. Difficulties, if any, in
implementation of these instructions may be brought to the notice of the Board.
