Policy Circular No. 31 dated 18^th October 2000

Requests have been received from exporters for the grant of transferable advance licence against their pending applications in respect of exports effected by them before 01.04.2000. The issue has been examined in this office and it has been decided that the transferable advance licence may not be allowed to be issued after the notification of revised Exim Policy on 31.03.2000, even in respect of exports effected on or before 31.03.2000. However, the prorate enhancement in respect of already issued transferable advance licences may be allowed to cover exports effected upto 31.03.2000, even if it may amount to enhancement beyond 100% in value and quantity. This enhancement may not however cover the exports effected on or after 01.04.2000.
