Subject:- Jurisdiction of RA in case of issuance of IEC to proprietorship firms

Representation has been received in this office seeking clarification regarding jurisdiction of the concerned RA for submission of IEC application by a proprietorship firm.

2. The matter has been examined and it is clarified that a proprietorship firm may apply for grant of IEC to the RA, under whose jurisdiction the office address of the firm is located.
   
   
3. This issues with the approval of competent authority.
