Notification No. : 08/2006-CE, DT. 01/03/2006 - Excisable goods falling under First Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 8/2006-Central Excise, dated the 1st March, 2006, which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number G.S.R. 98 (E), dated the 1st March, 2006, namely:-
In the said notification, in the end, for the brackets, letters, words, and figures �(c) in the ANNEXURE, for the entry (xl), with effect from 1st day of April, 2006�, the brackets, letters, words, and figures �(d) in the ANNEXURE, for the entry (xl), with effect from 1st day of August, 2006� shall be substituted.
