In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in the ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31^st August, 1998) as amended from time to time:

2.     In respect of Notification No. 32 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated the 12^th October, 2001, extending the shipment period for export of onions released vide Notification No. 16 (RE-2001)/ 1997-2002 dated the 26^th June, 2001 and Notification No. 20 (RE-2001)/ 1997-2002 dated 27^th July, 2001 upto 15^th October, 2001, it has been decided to further extend the shipment period for export of the unutilized balance quantity of the onion, if any, out of the 1,00,000 Metric tones released for export vide Notification No. 16 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated the 26^th June, 2001 and Notification No. 20 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated 27^th July, 2001 upto 31^st October, 2001.
