(a)
prescribes for the purpose of calculating stamp duty under the Indian
Stamp Act, 1899 (2 of 1899)
(b)
determines for the purposes of section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of
1962) in so far as these relate to imported goods.
that the rate of exchange of conversion of each of
the foreign currency specified in the column (2) of Schedule I and Schedule II
appended hereto into Indian Currency or vice-versa shall, with effect from the 1st
October, 2001 be the rate mentioned against it in the corresponding entry in
column (3) thereof.
