In exercise of powers conferred
by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22
of 1992 read with Paragraph 1.3 and 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy,
1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government
hereby makes following amendments in the �ITC (HS) Classifications of Export
and Import Items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st
August, 1998)� and as amended from time to time:-
2. In continuation of
Notification 44 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated the 24th December, 2001
allowing export of a total quantity of 1 lakh (one lakh) Mts. of onion upto 31st
January, 2002, it has been decided to extend the shipment period for export of
above quantity of onions upto 31st March, 2002.
