In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), read with rule 18 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, the Central Government, on the basis of the final findings of the designated authority, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, part I, Section I, dated the 27^th March, 1998 that there is dumping in respect of the graphite electrodes falling under Chapter 85 of the First Schedule to the said Act, and originating in or exported from the countries mentioned in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, hereby imposes on the said graphite electrodes of the size mentioned in the corresponding entry in column (4) of the said Table, originating in or exported from the country (4) of the said Table, originating in or exported from the country mentioned in the corresponding entry in the said column (2), when exported by the exporters mentioned in column (3) of the said Table and imported into India, an anti-dumping duty at the rate specified in the corresponding entry in column (5) of the said Table.
