Notifications Foreign Trade (Development & Regulations Act)
Notification No. 48 dated 24th
March 2000
In
exercise of the powers, conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development
and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export
and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.99), the
Central Government hereby makes following amendments in ITC (I-IS)
Classifications of Export and Imports items, 1997-2002, (incorporating
amendments made upto 31st August, 1998).
(i) The following entry shall be inserted in Table
B of Schedule 2,
under the heading "Salt, Sulphur; Earths and Stone; Plastering Materials,
Lime and Cement"

to Maldives permitted as per ceiling mentioned below, subject to issue
of no objection Certificate within the annual ceiling by the Chemical
and Allied Product Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) who shall monitor
the ceiling and send a quarterly report to Policy Cell -III in DGFT.

financial year 1999-2000. (enhanced ceiling for 1999-2000).

of Schedule 2 after the existing entry No.39.
