In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section
(1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and of all other powers
enabling in this behalf, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is
necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that the references to
the authorities specified in column (2) of the Table below in the notifications
of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue),
issued under sub-section (1) of section 25 of the said Customs Act, and section
3A of the said Customs Tariff Act, shall, unless the context otherwise requires,
be construed as references to the authorities specified in the corresponding
entry in column (3) of the said Table.
