Policy Circular No. 62 dated 11th January 1999
1. Attention is invited to the entry at SL. No. 25 of Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the Handbook titled 'ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import items 1997-2002 and Policy Circular No. 2(RE-98)/ 98-99 dated 24-04-98, Policy Circular No. 5(RE-98)/ 98-99 dated 19-05-98 and Policy Circular No. 17(RE-98)/ 98-99 dated 02- 07-98 & Policy Circular No. 22(RE-98)/ 98-99 dated 15-07-98 releasing the Ceiling of Sugar from the free sale quota of 1997-98 and 1998-99 for export to EEC & USA under the preferential arrangement, as per procedure to be specified by APEDA.
2. Attention is also invited to Policy Circular No. 53(RE-98)/ 98-99 dated 26-11-98 releasing the Ceiling of 60.00 MT of Sugar out of free sale quota of 1997-98 season (October to September) for export to Jakarta, Indonesia as a donation from Govt. of India, through Ministry of External Affairs.
3. In supersession of this Policy Circular No. 51(re-98)/ 98-99 dated 26-11-98, it has now been decided to allocate 92.00 MT of Sugar pertaining to 1997-98/ 1998-99 season instead of earlier quantity of 60.00 MT out of 1997-98 season's production for export to Jakarta, Indonesia as donation from Govt. of India, through Ministry of External Affairs and place the same at the disposal of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) for issuing Registration-Cum-Allocation-Certificate (RCAC) in the name of mill / intending exporter as per the suggestion of Ministry of External Affairs.
