TRADE NOTICE NO.4 DATE:- 25/7/06
Sub:- Additional postage for Postal Service Charges
It is brought to the notice of trade that as postal authorities have started charging service tax @ 12.5% on the speed post / regd. Post charges, the trade is advised to affix postal stamps in excess of the official rate as per rate list enclosed by 12.5% in order to take care of the service tax charges. Accordingly the envelope submitted by the exporters along with application form for various categories will now have postal stamp affixed taking care of the above mentioned service tax charges.
The above will be effective from 26/7/06.
