Public Notice No. 29 / (2015 - 2020)

Subject: Procedure for import of Potatoes, till 31.01.2021, under TRQ Scheme.

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015 - 2020 read with Paragraph 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015 -2020, the Director General of Foreign Trade, consequent to Notification No.40/2020 dated 28.10.2020 issued by Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, hereby notifies the procedure for import of 10,00,000 MT of Potatoes, at in quota tariff of 10% till 31.01.2021 under HS Code 0701 of Chapter 7 of ITC (HS), 2017, Schedule - I (Import Policy) as per details below:

2. In relaxation of Para 2.62 (i) of Handbook of Procedure, 2015-2020, online applications are invited from the intending importers as per ANF-2M of FTP 2015- 20 to DGFT. There is no need to send hard copy of the applications via mail or by post.

i. Application fee for these applications shall be paid according to procedure as per Appendix 2K of Appendices & Aayat - Niryat Forms.
ii. Only one application against one IEC will be considered.

3. DGFT reserves the right to make any changes in allocation as deemed fit at any point of time.

4. Successful applicants will have to ensure that the import consignments reach the Indian ports on or before 31.01.2021. Request for extension of time will not be entertained.
