NOTIFICATION NO. 3(RE-2008)/2004-2009

NEW DELHI, THE 11th APRIL, 2008

Subject : Prohibition on export of Edible Oils – Relaxation - regarding.

S.O.(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and also read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby substitutes, with immediate effect, Para 1.1 of Notification No.85 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 17.3.2008, inserted vide Notification No.92 (RE-2007)/2004-2009 dated 1.4.2008, as follows :

2. “1.1 Restrictions imposed vide this Notification shall not apply to the following:
   1. Export of Castor Oil,
      
      
   2. Export of Coconut Oil through Kochi Port,
      
      
   3. ‘Deemed export’ of edible oils to 100% export oriented units with the condition that the final product be non-edible,
      
      
   4. Export of Oils produced out of minor forest produce, as per table given

below, even if edible :
