Public Notice No. 50 dated 15th October 1998
Attention is invited to Public Notice No. 47(RE-98)/97-02 dated 8.10.1998 by which the agencies namely, National Handloom Development Corporation, Handicrafts and Handloom Exports Corporation, State Handloom Development Corporation/ other State level sister organisations dealing with Handloom/ silk, Central Silk Board, State Trading Corporation of India Ltd. (STC) and Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India Limited (MMTC), have been allowed to import Mulberry Raw Silk without an Import Licence. The Import of Mulberry Raw Silk is to be made as per the normal commercial practice.
These agencies shall send the import return of Mulberry Raw Silk within 15 days from the date of clearance from Customs of such imports to the Central Silk Board and the Director (Stat.), Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi in the format prescribed at Annexure-A for information purposes.
This issues in public interest.
