In
exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 5 of the Foreign Trade
(Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.3
of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes
the following amendment in the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002:

In Chapter 16, Part II, Paragraph 16.2- restricted items (Exports
Permitted under Licence), the entry at SI. No.16 relating to processed pulses
shall be amended to read as follows.
"Processed pulses, except those in consumer packs up to 5 Kgs. and
those made out of the pulses imported under the Duty Exemption Scheme or by an
EOU/ Unit in the EPZ."
