Sandalwood export against licences
Notification
No. 8 dated 14th July 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 5
of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992)
read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997 -2002, the Central
Government hereby makes the following amendment in the Export & Import
Policy, 1997 -2002.

In Chapter 16, Part I, Paragraph 16.1, the entry at SI. No.9 shall be
amended to read as under: Sandalwood in any form but excluding:
(i) Finished
Handicraft products of Sandalwood;
(ii) Machine
finished sandalwood products;
(iii) Sandalwood Oil subject to the
conditions as specified in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the book titled
"ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items; and
(iv) Those forms of sandalwood as specified, subject to such conditions and
procedures as may be laid down in this behalf in the Public Notice issued by the
Director General of Foreign Trade from time to time.
