Introduction & History

EximGuru is the most Authoritative, Reliable, upto-date, Online, Searchable and multi-year Encyclopedia of Indian Foreign Trade Rules, Regulations and Policies.

On March 28th 2011, above content has been shifted to Eximguru.com from InfodriveIndia.com

Started by Exporter & IT professional Shri Rakesh Saraf, InfodriveIndia.com has been hosting this content for the benefit of export import community and is used by DGFT, Customs, RBI Officials, Multinationals, Corporates, Exim Consultants, Exporters and Importers.

Though most of the content is free, the quality of content is of commercial level, backed by a highly qualified and dedicated content and web development Team.

Besides providing online Exim laws, EXIMGURU also has a free and paid Exim Helpdesk with a team of professional exim consultants who provide support in complex exim matters.

InfodriveIndia.com will continue to support and sponsor EximGuru

Objectives

The basic objective to start InfodriveIndia.com was to fill the gap of inadequate export import information that existed in India.

During the course of Exports, Rakesh found that it was very difficult for a Indian Exporter or Importer or a Overseas Company to find meaningful and concrete information about Indian Export Import Trade.

The bureaucratic Govt Sources and obsolete methods of dissemination of information further compounded the problems.

To resolve this issues, Rakesh launched InfodriveIndia.com Portal and instantly InfodriveIndia created many records.

Though launch InfodriveIndia inspired many websites on Exports imports but none of them could keep such vast amount of information in updated form and searchable form.

Most of them turned out the mere replicas of Govt websites, which had outdated information in PDF formats.

After the dotcom bust, even InfodriveIndia had problems in meeting the costs and it went through its share of ups and downs. However though sheer perseverance Rakesh continued to support the portal with his own resources and revamped the portal once again to keep up with the new technologies.

Rakesh feels still a lot needs to be done, and plans to launch few more initiatives in Export Import trade in near future.
