Export Manifest (Vessels) Regulations 1976 EXPORT MANIFEST (VESSELS) REGULATIONS, 1976 Short title and commencement Definition Export ManifestEXPORT MANIFEST (VESSELS) REGULATIONS, 1976Notifiation No. 420/76,dated 23-10-1976 as amended byNotifications No. 220-Cus.,dated 22-10-1977 and No.261-Cus., dated 29-12-1977.In exercise of the powers conferred by section 157, read with section 41, of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following regulations, namely:— Short title and commencement. — These regulations may be called the Export Manifest (Vessels) Regulations, 1976. They shall come into force on such date as the Central Board of Excise and Customs may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. Definition. — In these regulations, "Form" means a Form appended to these regulations. Export Manifest. — Every export manifest shall — be delivered in duplicate and shall be signed by the person-in-charge of the vessel; consist of — a cargo manifest, in Form I, a vessel's stores list, in Form II, a list of private property in the possession of the Master, officers and crew, in Form III; contain particulars in respect of — goods shipped, goods transhipped at the port, goods lying in the vessel but not landed or transhipped (same bottom cargo), and dutiable goods, including arms and ammunition forming part of the ordinary equipment of a vessel; NOTE. — In respect of item (d), arms and ammunition forming part of the ordinary equipment of a vessel shall be shown separately. the names of the ports for which the goods are intended and whether the vessel herself is proceeding to such ports or not; the names of the ports from which and the vessels by which the goods arrived, in case the goods are transhipped. The manifest shall be delivered in separate sheets in respect of cargo on which drawback has been claimed. The export manifest for all goods shipped and transhipped and endorsed by the person-in-charge of the vessel as to the quantities shipped and transhipped, shall be delivered to the proper officer in the Export Department, before the departure of the vessel or within seven days from the date of departure of the vessel: Provided that where the export manifest is delivered within seven days from the date of departure of the vessel, the agent of the person-in-charge of the vessel shall furnish such security as the proper officer deems sufficient for that purpose.
