Coimbatore: MP P R Natarajan on Thursday urged the state and central governments to support the industrial sector in Coimbatore in export ventures.
Addressing the gathering at a conference on ‘India’s Rising Export Potential in Global Market,’ held as part of the Exporter’s Conclave organised by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade and District Industries Centre, Natarajan specifically wanted the government to give a helping hand to the coconut sector. Coimbatore is a hub of coconut production and has a huge export potential for coco-based products, he said.
The MP pointed out that Coimbatore holds a very important place nationally as far as exports are concerned. Coimbatore has a thriving manufacturing sector, he said and wanted the government to promote industrial exports. tnn
