Release of Trade Data for May Postponed |
New Delhi: Trade data for the month of May 2015, which was supposed to be released on Monday by the Commerce Ministry, has been postponed.
According to an official, it is likely to be announced on Tuesday as the concerned officers were stuck in a meeting.
Most of the time, the export and import data is announced on 15th of every month.
Continuing its declining trend, India's exports shrank about 14 per cent in April to $22 billion, registering a contraction for fifth straight month.
The slump in exports is mainly due to global slowdown, a dip in crude oil prices and rupee appreciation.
