NEW DELHI: Shares of Metro Brands Ltd., West Coast Paper NSE -1.98 %, Ram Ratna Wire NSE 5.31 %, Andhra Paper NSE 2.05 % and TN Newsprint NSE -2.45 %, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 181.8 points up at 17340.05 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as Bombay Rayon, Birla Tyres NSE -4.96 %, IMP Powers Ltd NSE -4.95 %, DRC Systems India NSE 4.82 % Ltd. and Aakash Exploration NSE 4.53 %, touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 38 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 12 closed in the red.

Traders piled up positions in Aquaculture, Paper, Telecommunications, Shipping and Power sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Pharmaceuticals, Gas & Petroleum, Auto Ancillaries and Glass sectors during the day.
