Subject: – Amendment in Export Policy of Masks
S.O.1509 (E).- In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development a Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-20, the Central Government hereby makes following modification in the
Notification No. 44 dated 31.01.2020 read with Notification No. 52 dated 19.03.2020, to amend the export policy of masks in Schedule 2 of the ITC HS Export Policy 2018:

2. Effect of this Notification:
Notification No. 44 dated 31.01.2020 read with Notification No. 52 dated 19.03.2020, prohibiting the export of all types of masks, is amended to allow the export of non-medical/non-surgical masks of all types (cotton, silk, wool, knitted). All other types of masks falling under any ITCHS code, including the HS Codes mentioned above, would continue to remain prohibited for exports.
