In
exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs
Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is
necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further
amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of
Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 39/96-Customs, dated the 23rd July, 1996,
namely:-
In
the Table annexed to said notification, against S. No.14, in column (3), in the
Explanation, for the words and figures �1st day of January 2002�,
the words and figures �1st day of January 2006� shall be
substituted.
